Mr. P. Stephen Appelbaum, CPA has been the Chief Financial Officer and Secretary of Cass Information Systems, Inc. since May 2006 and serves as its Executive Vice President and Principal Accounting Officer. Prior to joining Cass Information, Mr. Appelbaum served as a Senior Vice President at US Bank (St. Louis, Missouri), where he spent 16 years holding various positions in the areas of accounting, financial reporting, risk management and merger and acquisition integration. Prior to that, he served as a Senior Manager and Senior Audit Manager of KPMG Peat Marwick, LLP, where he spent 10 years specializing in bank accounting and auditing. Mr. Appelbaum holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Missouri - Columbia and a master's in business administration from Washington University in St. Louis.
