Executive Bio

Mr. Burt Feinberg has been the President of CIT Commercial & Industrial Finance at CIT Group Inc since August 8, 2015. Mr. Feinberg serves as Group Head of CIT Retail Finance and CIT Commercial & Industrial at CIT Commercial and Industrial. He served as President of Corporate Finance, Commercial & Industrial at CIT Group Inc. and served as its Managing Director, Group Head of CIT Corporate Finance, Retail & Restaurants. He has more than 25 years of experience in corporate finance, leveraged finance, retail finance, equipment finance/leasing and restaurant lending. He has been involved in several billion dollars' worth of financings in numerous industries. In addition to managing new business activities, he has also managed workouts and securitizations. Prior to CIT, Feinberg spent seven years with FINOVA Capital Corp., holding various management positions, most recently as business head of FINOVA's Commercial Equipment Finance and Restaurant/Franchise Lending Divisions. During his last two years at FINOVA, he worked directly for Leucadia National Corporation and Berkshire Hathaway (collectively 'Berkadia'), FINOVA's managing investor. Prior to that, Mr. Feinberg had previously been with CIT for more than seven years in various capacities. He began his Corporate Finance career with Chemical Bank. Mr. Feinberg holds a bachelor's degree from the State University of New York at Binghamton and an MBA in finance from the New York University Stern Graduate School of Business.
