Mr. Guohua Zhang has been Senior Vice President and General Manager of Exploration Department of CNOOC Ltd. since October 2005. Mr. Zhang serves as General Manager of Shanghai Branch at CNOOC China Limited. He joined CNOOC in 1982 and served as Exploration Manager of China Offshore Oil Western South China Sea Corporation, a Chief Geologist of CNOOC Research Center and the Assistant to General Manager of Shanghai Branch of CNOOC China Limited. Mr. Zhang is a senior engineer, responsible for the exploration work offshore China as well as the reserve management. He is a geologist and received his B.S. degree from Ocean Institute of Qingdao. He also studied in the Business Institute of University of Alberta in 2001.
