Mr. E. Joseph Wright, also known as Joe, has been the Chief Operating Officer of Concho Resources Inc. since November 8, 2010 and as its Executive Vice President since November 2013. Mr. Wright served as a Vice President of Engineering and Operations at Concho Resources, Inc. from February 2006 to November 8, 2010. Mr. Wright served as the Vice President of Operations & Engineering at Concho Equity Holdings Corp. since its inception in April 2004. Mr. Wright was Vice President--Operations/Engineering of Concho Oil & Gas Corp. from its inception in January 2001 until its sale in January 2004. From January 2004 to April 2004, Mr. Wright was involved private investments. He served in various engineering and operations positions for Concho Resources Inc., including serving as Vice President--Operations, from February 1998 until its sale in June 2001. From 1982 until February 1998, Mr. Wright was employed by Mewbourne Oil Company in several operations, reservoir and evaluation engineering and capital markets positions. Mr. Wright has been a Director of Concho Resources Inc. since May 18, 2017. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering.
