Matthew S. Mooney — Senior VP & Managing Director of Atlanta at Cousins Properties

Mr. Matthew S. Mooney, also known as Matt, has been Senior Vice President at Cousins Properties Incorporated since October 11, 2016 and its Managing Director of Atlanta since January 2018 and served as its Managing Director of Phoenix from October 11, 2016 to January 2018 . Mr. Mooney joined Cousins in 2016 to lead the Phoenix regional team, which he previously led for Parkway since 2007. His responsibilities include the oversight of all day-to-day operations of the region including asset management, leasing, investments and business development. Mr. Mooney served as a Vice President of Parkway Properties Inc. since 2009 and served as its Managing Director and Asset Manager. Mr. Mooney joined Parkway in 2005 and was responsible for Asset Management of its Phoenix portfolio. He oversaw all day-to-day operations for the region including property management, construction management and budgeting. Additionally, he served as the Designated Broker for Parkway in Arizona and has oversight of all day-to-day operations for the region including property management, facilities management, construction management and business development and was responsible for coordination of its leasing efforts in the market. Additionally, he was the local point of contact for acquisition opportunities in the Western US for Parkway and sourced over $300MM of assets purchased or developed in the Phoenix market. Prior to joining Parkway, he worked for Raymond James Financial Services. While at Mississippi State, he played on the Men's Golf Team and was twice named Academic All-Southeastern Conference. He is deeply involved in the Phoenix community, serving as Programs Chairman for the Board of NAIOP Arizona, Chairman of the Downtown Tempe Authority, Chairman of the Enhanced Services Commission for the City of Tempe, an Advisory Council Member of the Greater Phoenix Economic Council and as an active Phoenix Thunderbird. He was a member of the Southeastern Conference Student Athlete Advisory Council. He holds Bachelor of Business Administration/BS from Mississippi State University, Summa Cumme Laude. He has a Master of Business Administration from Mississippi State University.
