Executive Bio
Mr. Carmen J. Romano is a Partner and Chair of the business department and a member of the mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and corporate finance groups. He has extensive experience in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, private equity and venture capital investments, and restructurings. He has been involved in numerous significant transactions for both strategic and private equity clients, including Campbell Soup's acquisition of Pace Foods, the sale of Genuardi's Family Markets supermarket chain, Select Medical's acquisition of NovaCare, and numerous private equity investments for Citicorp Venture Capital Ltd.; ING Furman Selz; Bruckmann, Rosser, Sherrill & Co.; and other private equity firms. Mr. Romano is a graduate of The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania (B.S., summa cum laude, 1977), Beta Gamma Sigma, and Columbia Law School (J.D., 1980), where he was note editor of the Columbia University Law Review (1979-80). Following law school, he clerked for the Honorable Dolores K. Sloviter of the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.
