John J. Sullivan — Partner at Dechert LLP

John J. Sullivan has been Partner of Mass Torts and Product Liability group at Dechert LLP since January 2009. Mr. Sullivan served as Associate of Dechert LLP. His experience extends to defending pharmaceutical, medical device and chemical companies. In that role, he has defended against a wide variety of claims, including failure to warn, consumer fraud, design defect, and warranty and other contract and quasi-contract claims. Mr. Sullivan has had successes at all stages of such litigations. Mr. Sullivan also has extensive experience in securities, corporate governance and commercial litigation. He has handled a contested takeover of a public company, class actions arising from the purchase and sale of securities, investigations by the Division of Enforcement of the Securities and Exchange Commission and the trial of a dispute over a commercial real estate contract of sale. He is a Member of New Jersey and New York Bars and Admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the District of New Jersey and the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York as well as the United States Supreme Court. Mr. Sullivan holds B.A. from Rutgers University in 1992 and J.D. from Rutgers University School of Law, Newark in 1996.
