Mr. Steven B. Weisburd serves as Partner at Dechert LLP since September 2006. He is based in Austin, TX office and was previously a partner at Munger, Tolles & Olson LLP in Los Angeles. Mr. Weisburd represents corporations in trial and appellate litigation involving consumer class actions, antitrust, product liability and commercial litigation, and was national counsel for Philip Morris in numerous product liability class actions. He also has extensive experience litigating First Amendment issues, and has represented large media companies in cases involving marketing disputes and right of publicity issues in the motion picture and music industries. Mr. Weisburd is a graduate of Stanford Law School where he received his J.D. with distinction in 1992 and also was an editor with the Stanford Law Review, and the University of California, Los Angeles where he received his B.A., Phi Beta Kappa, magna cum laude in 1988. He also earned an LL.M. in 1994from The University of Cambridge. He clerked for the Honorable Alfred T. Goodwin of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit.
