Mario E. Alonso M.D. — Executive Vice President of Plant Operations-ERCOT & CAISO & Supply Chain at Dynegy

Dr. Mario E. Alonso, M.D. has been an Executive Vice President of Plant Operations-ERCOT & CAISO and Supply Chain at Dynegy Inc. since October 2016. Dr. Alonso serves as Executive Vice President and General Manager Plant Operations and Supply Chain at Dynegy Midwest Generation LLC. He served as an Executive Vice President of Strategic Development of Dynegy Inc. since February 2014. Dr. Alonso served as Vice President of Strategic Development at Dynegy Inc. He served as a Vice President and Treasurer of Dynegy Inc. since July 26, 2011 and also served as its Vice President of Strategic Planning & Corporate Business Development from December 1, 2008 to July 26, 2011 and Managing Director of Strategic Planning and Corporate Business Development until December 1, 2008. He joined Dynegy in 2001 and has held positions of increasing responsibility, serving in the areas of finance and mergers and acquisitions. He is Professor of Functional Surgery and Epilepsy - National Institute of Neurology and Neurosurgery, Mexico City, Private Practice at Medica Sur Hospital Foundation and the ABC Hospital in Mexico City. He serves as a Director of Illinois Power Generating Company. He serves as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at Animal Cell Therapies, Inc. He holds several certifications (Mexico, USA and Canada), plus being an expert in neurosurgery. He has published articles in different journals and has appointments in different committees in Mexico and abroad. Dr. Alonso is an experienced Physician trained initially in the University of Guadalajara and later in the University of McGill (Canada) where he is candidate for the Degree of Ph.D. in neurosciences.
