James W. Swent III — - at ENSCO

Mr. James W. Swent, III, also known as Jay, has been Chief Executive Officer and President of Paragon Offshore plc since August 26, 2017. Mr. Swent served as an Executive Vice President of Ensco plc (Also known as Ensco International Inc.) from July 11, 2012 to December 10, 2015 and served as its Chief Financial Officer since July 28, 2003 and Senior Vice President from July 28, 2003 to July 11, 2012. Mr. Swent is a proven leader in international business with over 35 years of experience working in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America. He has finance and accounting expertise, as well as significant experience with mergers and acquisitions. He has held senior leadership positions in general management, operations, finance and business development in a diverse range of industries with companies such as Memorex Telex, Rodime, Nortel, Cyrix and American Pad and Paper and Ensco plc. He served as the Chairman of BayTech Federal Credit Union for eight years. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of American Pad & Paper Company, Inc. from July 7, 1998 to September 10, 2003 and Chief Financial Officer since June 1998 until September 10, 2003. He served as an Executive Vice President of American Pad & Paper Company from June 1998 to July 1998. He served as the Chief Executive Officer of Cyrix Corporation from December 1996 to December 1997, Senior Vice President of Finance and Administration from July 1996 to December 1996 and Chief Financial Officer since July 1996. He served as Secretary and Treasurer of Cyrix Corporation and Chairman of the Office of the President since December 1996. He served as Vice President of Business Development of Northern Telecom from September 1993 to July 1996 and served as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Northern Telecom-Caribbean and Latin America Region from February 1992 to September 1993. Prior to his employment with Northern Telecom, Mr. Swent held various senior management positions in the computer peripherals industry. He served as a Co-Chairman of the Board of American Pad & Paper Company from March 17, 1999 to September 10, 2003. He has been a Director of Energy XXI Ltd. since January 5, 2017, Paragon Offshore plc since July 18, 2017 and Energy XXI Gulf Coast, Inc. since December 30, 2016. He has been Lead Independent Director of Energy XXI Gulf Coast, Inc. since February 3, 2017. He serves on the Board of Directors of Rodime PLC. He has served on Boards of public companies listed on the NYSE, NASDAQ and London Stock Exchange. He served as a Director at American Pad & Paper Company since July 1998. He served as a Director of American Pad & Paper Co. since July 7, 1998. He is an Active Member of NACD. He was the recipient of Institutional Investor's '2010 Best CFO Award'. Mr. Swent has a B.S. in Finance and an MBA in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley.
