Gina McCarthy — Administrator at Environmental Protection Agency

Ms. Gina McCarthy serves as an Administrator of United States Environmental Protection Agency. Ms. McCarthy serves as Operating Advisor of Pegasus Capital Advisors, L.P. She served as an Operating Advisor at Pegasus Capital. Ms. McCarthy appointed by U.S. President in 2009 as Assistant Administrator for EPA's Office of Air and Radiation. She has been an Advocate for common-sense strategies to protect public health and the environment. She served as the Commissioner of the Connecticut Department of Environmental Protection. She served as an Operating Advisor at Grupo Pegasus. During her career, which spans over 35 years, she has worked at both the state and local levels on critical environmental issues and helped coordinate policies on economic growth, energy, transportation and the environment. She earned honorary J.D. from Williams College and Vermont Law School. She also received an honorary Sc.D from Simmons College. Ms. McCarthy received a Bachelor of Arts in Social Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts at Boston and a joint Master of Science in Environmental Health Engineering and Planning and Policy from Tufts University.
