Mr. James A. Muntz, also known as Jim, serves as President of Transmission at Eversource Energy Service Company, Inc. Mr. Muntz has been Senior Vice President of Transmission at NSTAR Electric & Gas since January 16, 2013. He served as an Executive Officer of Exelon Corporation. He served as Senior Vice President of Transmission at The Connecticut Light and Power Company and Western Massachusetts Electric Company since June 19, 2007. He served as President of Transmission at Eversource Energy (formerly, Northeast Utilities/Northeast Utilities System). Mr. Muntz served as President Transmission of Northeast Utilities Service Company since November 1, 2008. He served as Senior Vice President of Transmission at Public Service Company of New Hampshire. He served as Senior Vice President of Transmission at Eversource Energy. He has served as President of Northern Pass Transmission LLC since April 21, 2010. He served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of The Connecticut Light and Power Company from November 18, 2011 to September 11, 2012. Mr. Muntz served as Vice President of Transmission Projects of Eversource Energy (formerly, Northeast Utilities and Northeast Utilities System) from January 17, 2005 to June 19, 2007 and Senior Vice President - Transmission from June 19, 2007 to October 31, 2008. He served as Vice President of Transmission Products at CL&P, PSNH and WMECO from January 17, 2005 to June 19, 2007. Mr. Muntz has overall leadership and management responsibility for NU's Transmission operations in Connecticut, New Hampshire and western Massachusetts. He joined The Connecticut Light and Power Company (CL&P) in 2002 as Vice President of Customer Operations, responsible for the operation and maintenance of CL&P's electric power distribution system. He served as Senior Vice President of Transmission. Previously, he held various leadership positions with Exelon/PECO in Pennsylvania, including Vice President of Electric Supply and Transmission during the period when deregulation was introduced in that state. In his 22 years with Exelon Corporation, he also served as Vice President of its Power Generation Group, Vice President of Nuclear Projects and held an SRO License on Limerick Units 1 and 2 for over 10 years. Mr. Muntz graduated from Swarthmore College in Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics. He also earned a Master's degree in Business Administration in Financial Management from Drexel University.
