Jigish Trivedi ā Senior Vice President of Technology at First Solar
Executive Bio
Mr. Jigish Trivedi has been the Senior Vice President of Technology at First Solar, Inc. since May 2016. In this leadership role within First Solar's research and development (R&D) group, Mr. Trivedi is responsible for driving innovation and core process & product developments in Thin Film photovoltaic (PV) technology. Mr. Trivedi manages key intellectual property aspects of First Solar's highly differentiated thin film PV technology portfolio. In addition, Mr. Trivedi supports corporate functions such as Strategic sourcing, Business Development, Technical Due Diligence and M&A consulting. Mr. Trivedi has over 20 years of experience in high-value product development environments, including the field of semiconductors where he specialized in areas of CMOS logic and memory technologies. He joined First Solar in 2009 to develop a series of key efficiency improvement projects in R&D and was promoted to role of Vice President in to 2012. Prior to First Solar, he served at Micron Technology. Over span of his career, Mr. Trivedi has been awarded more than 120+ U.S. and international patents in areas of renewable energy, semiconductor physics, material science and process technology. He holds LEAD certification from Graduate School of Business at Stanford University. He holds Master of Engineering degree from University of Utah and Master of Business Administration degree from Bowling Green State University.
