Curtis Lu

Professional Background

Mr. Curtis P. Lu has been General Counsel of FTI Consulting, Inc. since June 29, 2015. Mr. Lu served as the General Counsel at LightSquared Company. Mr. Lu served as Senior Vice President and Principal Deputy General Counsel of Federal National Mortgage Association. Previously, Mr. Lu served as Senior Vice President, Deputy General Counsel and Chief Ethics and Compliance Officer for Time Warner. There, he was responsible for overseeing legal support for intellectual property, antitrust and communications regulatory issues, as well as Time Warner's ethics and compliance program. Prior to his joining Time Warner, Mr. Lu served as Senior Vice President and Principal Deputy General Counsel for Fannie Mae from 2006 to 2009. From 2002 to 2006, Mr. Lu was Senior Vice President and Deputy General Counsel for America Online, Inc. (AOL). At AOL, Mr. Lu was responsible for overseeing legal support for financial reporting, consumer marketing, corporate compliance, public policy, litigation and regulatory compliance. Mr. Lu began his legal career at the law firm of Latham & Watkins, where he was a litigation partner. He serves on the Board of Directors of the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center and the Council for Court Excellence. He served as a law clerk to Judge Thomas Clark of the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and a Teaching Fellow at Stanford Law School. He received a B.A. from the University of Virginia and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
