Mr. Jeffrey S. Geiger, also known as Jeff, has been a Vice President of General Dynamics Corporation since April 2009. Mr. Geiger has been President of Electric Boat Corporation at General Dynamics Corporation since November 4, 2013. Mr. Geiger served as the President of Bath Iron Works Corporation from April 1, 2009 to November 4, 2013 and served as its Senior Vice President of Operations from March 2008 to April 1, 2009. He joined Bath Iron Works in 1984 as a Production Planner and held a series of progressively more-responsible positions in production engineering, production control, manufacturing engineering, planning and quality assurance until March 2008 and had responsibility for all its engineering, design, material procurement, planning, quality control, strategic planning, communications and business development at the shipyard. He serves as a Director of the United Way of MidCoast Maine. He is a National Advisory Board Member for the Naval Architecture & Marine Engineering Department of the University of Michigan. He is a member of the American Bureau of Shipping and the Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers. He is a recipient of the Rosenblatt Michigan award for outstanding leadership in Naval Engineering and the University of Michigan Alumni Society Merit Award.He is a Member of the Executive Control Board of the National Shipbuilding Research Program. Mr. Geiger holds a Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Michigan in 1983 and was awarded a Master's degree in Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering at the University of Michigan in 1984.
