Robert E. Smith — VP & President of Jet Aviation at General Dynamics Corporation

Mr. Robert E. Smith, also known as Rob, has been the President of Jet Aviation AG since 2014. Mr. Smith has been Vice President of General Dynamics at Jet Aviation AG since September 05, 2016. He has been the President of Jet Aviation Management AG since January 1, 2014 served as its Chief Financial Officer since July 2012. Mr. Smith has been the President of Jet Aviation AG since 2014. He serves as a Vice President and President of Jet Aviation of General Dynamics Corporation. He joined Jet Aviation in July 2012 as chief financial officer (CFO), responsible for oversight of all financial functions. Mr. Smith served as a Vice President of Jet Aviation Management AG from July 2012 to January 1, 2014. He served as the Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Finance at National Steel and Shipbuilding Company. Mr. Smith was responsible for overseeing the financial performance, as well as accounting, contracts and estimating for the business at NASSCO. Previously, he was the Director of contracts, estimating and program finance at Electric Boat. Prior to joining NASSCO, he worked for another General Dynamics company, Electric Boat, where he served in various managerial positions since 1989, as Director of Contracts and Estimating. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University and an MBA in Finance from RPI.
