Mr. Olds founded Generations Healthcare in January of 1998 with a single 89-bed skilled nursing facility. Since that time he has grown the company to encompass 3000 beds in facilities throughout Northern and Southern California, and a presence in Nevada as of 2017. His business strategy focuses on quality and service while remaining mindful of the challenges and changes facing older adults in today’s world. Mr. Olds began his career in the long term care industry in 1989 at GranCare, a small LTC start up. He was a key member of the acquisition and operations team that grew GranCare from just a few hundred beds to over 10,000 beds and a place on the NYSE. In 1994, he was a founding partner in Covenant Care, Inc. focusing on business development and operations. During his tenure with Covenant Care he directed the acquisition of more than 30 skilled nursing facilities, four pharmacies and a therapy company. He also led the building of the corporate infrastructure with both management and information systems.
