James F. Griffiths — Senior Vice-President of Content Purchasing & Distribution at Global Eagle Entertainment

Mr. James F. Griffiths, also known as Jim, has been Senior Vice-President of Content Purchasing & Distribution at Global Eagle Entertainment Inc. since March 2015. Mr. Griffiths served as Senior Executive Vice President of Playboy Enterprises, Inc. from January 20, 2004 to September 2006. Mr. Griffiths served as President of Entertainment Group at Playboy Enterprises Inc., from June 2004 to September 2006. Mr. Griffiths is responsible for business development across Playboy Enterprises, Inc. as well as for global television and location-based entertainment. At Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer (MGM), he spent six years as President of worldwide television distribution. He oversaw the global distribution of movies and television programs and supervised MGM Networks, Inc., its cable and satellite channel ventures. Mr. Griffiths joined MGM from Creative Artists Agency where he served as director of the Entertainment Ventures Group and helped create Tel-TV and the Sundance Channel as well as other business and content opportunities. Mr. Griffiths served as President of worldwide pay television and international home video at Twentieth Century Fox before joining Star Television in 1993 as Managing Director in Hong Kong. He began his professional career as a senior accountant with Price Waterhouse and was recruited to Home Box Office where he spent eight years. He is a graduate of Colgate University, Mr. Griffiths holds an MBA from New York University.
