No investment in engineering in the remote office. Promotions are based on popularity and likeability and less on merit. Engineers are paid under market value. When bringing up compensation, a response that was given from my manager (put in a negative way): "Why should you be paid more?"
I believe other similar companies in the area are compensating more for the same roles.

Transparency - execs will sometimes change things and not acknowledge or announce it, word will just spread from person to person. Speed - working quickly is important but there is definitely such a thing as too fast - can result in mistakes and sub par products.
