Pete Lahn is Senior Vice President of the Legal Division, Secretary, and General Counsel for Grinnell Mutual Reinsurance Company. Lahn has more than 30 years of legal and property/casualty insurance experience, including 25 years in Grinnell Mutual’s Legal department. He has served the company as counsel, senior counsel, assistant general counsel, and associate general counsel. Pete is responsible for oversight and management of the company's Legal Division including the Legal, Special Investigations, Government Affairs, and Risk Management functions.
Lahn received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in Urbana, Ill. He graduated cum laude with a juris doctor from the University of Baltimore School of Law in Baltimore, Md., and admitted to the Iowa, Maryland, and District of Columbia Bar Associations. He is a member of the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel, Iowa Defense Counsel Association, and Defense Research Institute.
