Mr. John T. Komeiji has been a Senior Vice President and General Counsel of Hawaiian Telcom Holdco, Inc. and Hawaiian Telcom, Inc. since June 2008 and has been its Chief Administrative Officer since March 1, 2016. Mr. Komeiji serves as Senior Vice President of Hawaiian Telcom Holdco, Inc. Mr. Komeiji serves as the Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Hawaiian Telcom, Inc. He joined Hawaiian Telcom Communications Inc. in July 2008. He serves as the President of Hawaii Prince Hotel Waikiki Corp. He joined Hawaiian Telcom from Watanabe Ing Kawashima & Komeiji Llp (Watanabe Ing & Komeiji LLP), where he served as Senior Partner from 1998 to June 2008. His practice focused in the litigation of complex commercial, personal injury and professional liability matters. Mr. Komeiji is a lawyer representative to the Ninth Circuit Judicial Conference and has served as a lawyer representative to the United States District Court Conference and the State of Hawaii Judiciary Conference. Mr. Komeiji was an arbitrator and master mediator by the State of Hawaii Judiciary. He served as the President of the Hawaii State Bar Association and has served on the American Bar Association's Standing Committee on Lawyer Competence. Mr. Komeiji has been a Director of Hawaii Medical Service Association since May 18, 2011. He serves on numerous for-profit and non-profit boards, including the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific, the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii and the University of Hawaii Foundation. A Member of the prestigious American Board of Trial Advocates and the International Society of Barristers, Mr. Komeiji is also a Bencher and a Member of the Executive Committee of the American Inns of Court, Aloha Chapter. He was a Adjunct Professor of Law at the William S. Richardson School of Law where he taught Pretrial Litigation, he received the Co-Adjunct Professor of the Year Award in 2002. Mr. Komeiji earned a Bachelor of Education degree from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1976 and a Juris Doctorate from Hastings College of Law in 1979.
