Mr. Neil H. Shah has been the President and Chief Operating Officer at Hersha Hospitality Trust since January 1, 2006. Mr. Shah served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of Hersha Hospitality Management LP. He served as the Director of Development & Acquisitions at Hersha Hospitality Trust since May 2002 and Executive Vice President since 2005. Mr. Shah had been a Principal of Hersha Enterprises Ltd., since 2000. He is involved in the strategic planning initiative in connection with hotel and real estate development for Hersha Enterprises Ltd. Prior to joining Hersha Hospitality Trust, he served in senior management positions with the Advisory Board Company and the Corporate Executive Board. He serves as a Member of Advisory Council at newBrandAnalytics, Inc. He is an active member of the Wharton Real Estate Center, the Urban Land Institute and serves on the Corporate Council of the National Constitution Center. Mr. Shah earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and a Bachelor of Science in Management, both with honors, from the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School. He earned his MBA from the Harvard Business School.
