Dr. Manfred P. Mueller has been the Chief Operating Officer of Identiv, Inc. (formerly, SCM Microsystems) since September 2013 and serves as its General Manager, Smart Card Readers and Transponders. Dr. Mueller served as Chief Executive Officer of SCM Microsystems business unit since January 2010 until March 2012. He served as an Executive Vice President at SCM Microsystems since January 2010 until September 2013. He served as Chief Operating Officer of Identification Products at SCM Microsystems since April 1, 2012 until September 2013 and served as its Executive Vice President of Strategic Sales and Business Development since March 2008 until January 2010. He also headed SCM Microsystems??? global products business. He served as Managing Director of Id Infrastructure Division at SCM Microsystems. He served as Vice President of Sales for EMEA at SCM Microsystems since April 1, 2007. He served as Vice President of Marketing at SCM Microsystems since February 2006 until April 1, 2007, where he was responsible for product management, marketing, communications and its IPprotection. He has held a diverse roles at SCM Microsystems, including sales, marketing, product management, business development and investor relations. He has a deep understanding of SCM Microsystems??? technology, markets, customers, stakeholders and operations. He joined SCM Microsystems in August 2000 as Director of Strategic Business Development and served in that role until June 2002. He served as Head of Strategic Marketing at SCM Microsystems from July 2002 to June 2005. From July 2002 to July 2005, he served as Director of Strategic Marketing. He served as Executive Officer at SCM Microsystems since 2006. He served as Vice President of Strategic Business Development at SCM from July 2005 to December 2005. Prior to SCM, Dr. Mueller served as Product Manager at BetaResearch GmbH from September 1998 to September 1999, the digital TV division of the German Kirch Group. He served as Manager, New Technologies and Business Development at BetaResearch GmbH from October 1999 to July 2000. He was responsible for strategic investments, product development and M&A activities for BetaResearch GmbH. He served as Executive Assistant at Cabeltherm GmbH from January 1990 to March 1998. Dr. Mueller holds MS and Ph.D degrees in Chemistry from Regensburg University in Germany from 1990 to 1995 and 1995 to 1998 respectively. He holds an MBA, Business Administration and Management, General from the Edinburgh Business School of Heriot Watt University in Edinburgh, Scotland from 2001 to 2005.
