Dr. Mostafa Ronaghi, Ph.D., has been the Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Illumina Inc. since 2008 and is responsible for leading internal research and the Illumina accelerator program. Dr. Ronaghi is a Co-Founder of Illumina Accelerator Program. Dr. Ronaghi co-founded NextBio, Inc., in 2004 and served as its Chairman of Scientific Advisory Board. He co-founded Pyrosequencing AB (now Biotage) in Uppsala, Sweden in 1997. He co-founded ParAllele BioScience Inc. in 2001. He co-founded Avantome, Inc. He is an experienced life sciences entrepreneur and was involved in the start-up of four life sciences companies. He served as Principal Investigator of Stanford University Genome Center focused on development of novel tools for molecular diagnostics applications from 2002 to 2008. He is known internationally for his work in DNA-based technologies. He serves as a Member of the Scientific Advisory Board at IntegenX Inc. (formerly, Microchip Biotechnologies, Inc). Dr. Ronaghi serves as a Director of Aurora Algae, Inc. (formerly, Aurora BioFuels Inc) and Clear Labs, Inc. He serves as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board of GRAIL, Inc. Dr. Ronaghi served as a Member of Scientific Advisory Board at ParAllele Bioscience, Inc. He served as a Director of IntegenX Inc. since October 31, 2006. He holds more than 50 pending and issued patents and has written more than 70 peer-reviewed publications in journals and books. Dr. Ronaghi received his PhD from Royal Institute of Technology in Sweden.
