For example, we are a strategic national talent developer, endorsed by OneTen, a coalition of business leaders committed to upskilling, hiring and promoting one million Black individuals into family-sustaining jobs over the next 10 years.
Internally, we are also committed to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion with our InStriders. One of our company’s core values is to encourage and celebrate our InStriders’ diversity of beliefs, skills, lifestyles and orientations. We hold ourselves to these high standards to ensure we continue to build an inclusive culture and attract diverse talent.
This process begins with hiring and onboarding, and continues throughout talent development and growth. We use an impartial, third-party service to ensure that our job descriptions are inclusive in language and structure. During onboarding, each InStrider is required to take DE&I awareness courses on topics such as understanding unconscious bias.
InStride also actively celebrates different cultures and ideas through regular fireside chats with current & former Fortune 500 executives from a variety of industries & functions, as well as Lunch & Learns led by our InStriders. This year, for example, we held a Black History Month roundtable as well as an Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month presentation, among other discussions.
