Executive Bio

Dr. Thomas A. J. Frank has been the Chief Information Officer and Executive Vice President of Interactive Brokers Group, Inc. since July 1999. Dr. Frank has been a driver of strategic value in building tools to make trading simpler, visual and automated. Dr. Frank has been Vice President of Timber Hill LLC since December 1990 and serves as its Chief Technology Officer. He joined Timber Hill Inc. in 1985 where he was in charge of software development for automated pricing, risk management and trading systems. He pioneered the adoption of hand-held computers on trading floors, fully electronic trading systems and the delivery of high end trading tools to a broad spectrum of traders and investors. He serves as a Director of The Options Clearing Corporation. He holds an S.B. degree from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Dr. Frank received a Ph.D. in physics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1985.
