Executive Bio

Mr. Joe Kelly has been Senior Vice President of Talent at The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. since November 2015. Mr. Kelly served as the Chief People Officer of Initiative Media Inc. Mr. Kelly served as the Chief Talent Officer of McCann-Erickson Worldwide, Inc. and McCann Worldgroup, Inc. since April 2010. Mr. Kelly was responsible for global recruitment, career development, deployment and compensation and acting as a steward of organizational culture and collaborative vision, including overseeing HFD, Worldgroup's global training and development program, arguably the most sophisticated in the industry. He served as an Executive Vice President of Lowe & Partners Worldwide Limited and served as its Worldwide Human Resources Director since 1999. He served as the Chief Human Resources Officer, Executive Vice President and Chief Talent officer at MediaBrands Worldwide Inc. He is consistently focused on creating a curious, collaborative and performance obsessed culture. He was responsible for Human Resource strategy and practices at the global level. He has more than 20 years of global human resources experience working within marketing communications and creative organizations in the UK, Sweden and the US. He started his career in advertising, in 1987, at SSC&B Lintas in London in the capacity of Commercial Director where he worked with the Worldwide Chief Financial Officer and HR Director. In 1991, he was transferred to Lintas Sweden on a temporary assignment in the role of General Manager. After a year spent in Sweden, he moved to New York in 1992 into the role of Worldwide Human Resource Manager, he worked with the Human Resources Director on compensation, recruitment and talent management and development., following the Merger with Ammirati Puris, he served as its Senior Vice President of Human Resources worldwide. In early 1999, he moved to Interpublic as the Director of Executive Recruitment where he worked closely with the IPG HR Director on recruitment, compensation and diversity initiatives. During this time, Mr. Kelly started to work closely with Lowe on HR issues and following the merger of Lowe and APL.
