Julie M. Connors — Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President of Audit at Interpublic Group of Companies

Ms. Julie M. Connors has been the Chief Risk Officer and Senior Vice President of Audit at Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc. since February 8, 2010. Ms. Connors oversees the Interpublic's global audit and risk strategies, including corporate compliance, business continuity, crisis management and other key governance initiatives. She has over 15 years of experience specializing in internal audit, enterprise-wide risk management services and Sarbanes-Oxley readiness consulting. Prior to joining Interpublic, Ms. Connors was a Partner and one of the key leaders of the enterprise risk and internal audit practices at Deloitte & Touche. While at Deloitte & Touche, Ms. Connors contributed to the development of its advanced risk methodologies and led teams serving some of the world's largest advertising clients and marketing services companies, including working on the Interpublic account. Prior to her role at Deloitte, Ms. Connors served as an internal auditor at R.H. Macy's & Co. She serves as the Vice President and Secretary of the Executive Board of the NYC Institute of Internal Auditors. Ms. Connors received the IIA Service Excellence award in 2008 for her efforts in supporting diversity in the profession. Ms. Connors is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), and the New Jersey State Society of CPAs. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Rutgers University.
