Mr. J. Jay Stratton, Jr., has been an Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at Jagged Peak Energy Inc. since August 10, 2017. Mr. Stratton served as the Chief Operating Officer at Permian Resources LLC, where he worked since 2014. He is a Petroleum Engineer with over 20 years experience having held senior positions with ARCO Alaska Inc. and Golden Energy. Mr. Stratton served as the Chief Operating Officer at Cre8tek Limited (formerly Marion Energy Limited) since November 2009. He served as District Manager for Permian Basin and Mid-Continent assets at Chesapeake Energy Corporation since 2011. He began his career with Atlantic Richfield Company (ARCO), Occidental Petroleum Corporation and Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in various engineering roles. He is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers and IPAMS. Mr. Stratton holds a Bachelor of Science in Petroleum Engineering (cum laude) from Texas A&M University, a leader in education in this field and he graduated in 1986.
