Mr. Chris C. Gair serves as Partner in the litigation and dispute resolution and white-collar criminal defense and counseling practices at Jenner & Block LLC's Chicago office since October 2005. Since 1994, Gair had served as a partner with Freeman, Freeman & Salzman PC. Mr. Gair served as an assistant United States Attorney and deputy chief of the organized crime division in Chicago, where he tried fraud, corruption, and organized crime cases. Among his most prominent cases were the convictions of virtually the entire city government of Chicago Heights for bribery and extortion and the racketeering convictions of a number of mob bosses, including the head of the Chicago syndicate. Mr. Gair graduated summa cum laude from Duke University, where he was elected to Phi Beta Kappa, and cum laude from the University of Chicago Law School, where he was elected to the Order of the Coif. He clerked for Justice Seymour Simon of the Illinois Supreme Court.
