David A. Savner — Partner at Jenner & Block

Mr. David A. Savner serves as a Partner and Member of Corporate Practice of Jenner & Block LLP. Prior to rejoining Jenner & Block, Mr. Savner served as a Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary of General Dynamics Corporation from May 1999 to December 31, 2009. Mr. Savner served as Senior Vice President of Law and Secretary of General Dynamics Corporation from April 1998 to May 1999. Mr. Savner led the General Dynamics legal team in the company's acquisition and successful integration of over 50 businesses around the globe. Among his most notable accomplishments while at General Dynamics, Mr. Savner spearheaded the acquisition of the defense businesses of GTE Government Systems Corporation and Motorola; the purchase of Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation; and the acquisition of the combat vehicle business of General Motors Corporation. Prior to joining General Dynamics, Mr. Savner was a partner of Jenner & Block and chair of its corporate practice. In the early 1990s, Mr. Savner led the Jenner & Block legal team in representing General Dynamics in the disposition of certain company assets, including the sale of the F-16 fighter aircraft program to Lockheed. He has been Co-Chairman of Engility Holdings, Inc. since February 26, 2015 and has been its Independent Director since 2012. He served as a Director at Engility Services Inc (aka Engility Corporation). He served as Director of Northfield Laboratories Inc. since April 1998. He served as a Director of Everyb11ody Wins, a reading and mentoring program. Mr. Savner received a bachelor of arts from Northwestern University in 1965 and a Juris Doctor from Northwestern University School of Law in 1968.
