Marc B. Hankin has been a Partner of Jenner & Block LLP since July 2008. Mr. Hankin served as Counsel of bankruptcy and reorganization group at Shearman & Sterling LLP and he represents debtors, secured creditors, DIP lenders and creditors' committees in Chapter 11 cases, out-of-court restructurings and exchange offers in the United States and abroad. His practice has also focused on advising buyers and sellers of the assets of financially distressed companies. Mr. Hankin joined as Associate in Shearman & Sterling LLP in September 1994 after completing a two-year clerkship with Chief Bankruptcy Judge Burton Lifland in the Southern District of New York (Manhattan). Mr. Hankin received his J.D., with honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1992 and his bachelor's degree from Yale College in 1989.
