Philip M. Lessner — Senior VP & CTO at KEMET Corporation

Dr. Philip M. Lessner, also known as Phil, has been Chief Technology Officer of KEMET Corp. since February 2014 and has been its Senior Vice President since May 2011. Dr. Lessner served as the Chief Technology Officer and Chief Scientist of KEMET Corp. since December 19, 2006. Dr. Lessner served at KEMET Corporation as Vice President of Tantalum Technology and Technical Marketing from August 26, 2004 to December 19, 2006 and also served as its Vice President and was responsible for product direction for all KEMET products and new product and process execution within the Tantalum Business Unit. Dr. Lessner has been with KEMET for more than eight years, previously has held organizational leadership roles in it, as Director of Technical Marketing Services. He holds a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Cooper Union and a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering with a focus in Electrochemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley.
