Eric J. Haas — Senior Vice President and Head of Ghana Business Unit at Kosmos Energy Ltd.

Eric J. Haas has more than 30 years of technical and management experience in support of exploration, development, and production projects. After joining Kosmos in 2008, Mr. Haas led the appraisal and development program of the company’s Jubilee oil field offshore Ghana. Prior to joining Kosmos, he spent nearly 25 years at Hess Corporation, where he was responsible for numerous production and development projects in the Gulf of Mexico, Northwest Europe, Russia, and North and West Africa. Following the sale of Triton Energy to Amerada Hess Corporation (now Hess Corporation) in 2001, Mr. Haas was a member of the Hess team that managed the transition of Triton’s discoveries offshore Equatorial Guinea to the company’s West Africa business unit. He subsequently headed the team that appraised and developed these discoveries, which became known as the Okume Complex. Mr. Haas holds a bachelor of science degree in petroleum engineering from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology.
