Mr. Richard C. Buterbaugh, also known as Rick, has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Laredo Petroleum, Inc. since December 17, 2012 and served as its Principal Accounting Officer. Mr. Buterbaugh has been the Chief Financial Officer and Executive Vice President of Laredo Petroleum Holdings, Inc. since December 17, 2012 and serves as its Principal Accounting Officer. He served as the Senior Vice President of Investor Relations at Laredo Petroleum Holdings, Inc., since June 2012 until December 2012. Mr. Buterbaugh has more than 35 years of experience in financial analysis, planning and investor relations in the oil and gas industry. He joined Laredo in June 2012. He served as Vice President of Investor Relations & Corporate Planning of Quicksilver Resources Inc. since March 19, 2007 until June 2011. He held various financial positions at Kerr-McGee Corporation from November 1989 to August 2006, He served as Vice President of Corporate Planning of Kerr-Mcgee Corporation since July 2005 and also served as its Vice President of Investor Relations from 1998 to 2005. He was responsible for strategic corporate planning, investor relations, corporate communications and government relations. He served as Director of Investor Relations of Kerr-mcgee Corporation from 1996 to 1998 and Staff Director of Corporate Business Development from 1989 to 1996. He joined Kerr-mcgee Corp. in 1989. Mr. Buterbaugh started his career with Chevron U.S.A., Inc. He served as an Investment Analyst for Freeport-McMoran, Inc. from 1980 to 1988. He served as Manager of Capital Markets for US West at Freeport-McMoran. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Colorado.
