Mr. Andrew Sowerby, also known as Andy, has been Country Head of Australia at Legg Mason Inc. since August 2016. Mr. Sowerby served as the Head of Sales, Marketing and Client Service and Director of Martin Currie Investment Management Limited. Mr. Sowerby joined the Martin Currie Investment Management in 2005 and is responsible for sales, marketing and client service at the firm. Mr. Sowerby manages client-facing teams based in Edinburgh, London, New York, Zurich, Singapore, and Melbourne. Prior to this, he was a Joint Managing Director at Investec Limited and Investec Fund Managers, with the responsibility for marketing the company's pooled-fund businesses, both in the UK and in Europe. Mr. Sowerby spent 12 years at Scottish Widows Fund Management, where he was instrumental in building up the group's unit-trust business. He was also a Director of Investec Asset Management.
