Ursula Amelie Schliessler — Chief Administrative Officer & Executive VP at Legg Mason

Ms. Ursula Amelie Schliessler has been Chief Administrative Officer and Executive Vice President of Legg Mason, Inc. since March 2015 and April 2015 respectively and previously served as Head of Global Distribution Business Management, managing day to day operations and aligning strategic initiatives to support the growth of the firm's retail business. In her current role, Ms. Schliessler oversees the firm's technology, risk management, insurance, internal audit, real estate, fund accounting, and transfer agency departments and the implementation of strategic projects. She is a Board Member of firm's international legal entities. Previously, she established UAS Global Solutions. Prior to that, Ms. Schliessler was Head of International Product Development and Management at Morgan Stanley Investment Management from 2007 to January 2009. Previously, she was with Citibank and Citigroup Asset Management in roles of increasing responsibility in a number of countries from 1984 to 2005 and worked to transition international product offerings through December 2006. Ms. Schliessler holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Economics and a Master of Commerce degree in Business Economics from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa.
