Daniel Carney — Vice President of Operations at Limelight Networks

Mr. Daniel Carney, also known as Dan, has been Vice President of Operations at Limelight Networks, Inc. since December 22, 2015. Mr. Carney is responsible for building customer satisfaction through technology deployed externally to customers and drives the internal technology needs of Limelight Networks as well. He joined Limelight in December 2013. He has 12 years of operations management experience. He has deep architectural, implementation, and operations leadership experience in large enterprises, growing businesses, and startup environments. He served as Chief Technology Officer at Xerox Services, responsible for operating IT infrastructure, applications, and processes. Mr. Carney served as Global Vice President of Operations and IT at bcgi (recently acquired by XIUS). During his five years at bcgi, he was responsible for commercializing new services and managing worldwide operations and support. He had been with bcgi since 2003 and served as its Vice President and Director of Systems Architecture. He served as Vice President (Head) of Licensed Systems Group of Boston Communications Group Inc. since February 2005. Mr. Carney was responsible for all aspects of support associated with license sales for all product lines, including hardware benchmarking, design and configuration, system implementation and system technical support of Boston Communications Group Inc. Before bcgi, he spent seven years at Wildfire Communications, which was acquired by mobile network operator Orange S.A., working as Senior Director of Operations. He served as Senior Director of Operations of Wildfire Communications, Inc., and was responsible for all operations, project management, continuing engineering and for all post-sales order fulfillment and customer satisfaction. He spent more than a decade with telecommunications leaders Wildfire Communications (subsidiary of Orange SA) and NYNEX (now Verizon), where he gained vast operational expertise across its network and service infrastructure. Mr. Carney served as Vice President of Operations at Azuki Systems, Inc. (formerly, PeerMeta). He was recognized as one of Computerworld's Premier 100 Technology Leaders. Mr. Carney holds a BA in computer science from Saint Anselm College and a master's in business administration from Suffolk University.
