Mr. David B. Edelson has been Senior Vice President of Loews Corporation since May 2005 and as its Chief Financial Officer since May 13, 2014. Mr. Edelson helps to formulate corporate strategies, monitor the performance of Loews subsidiaries and oversees the investor relations function for Loews Corp. He served as a Senior Vice President of Carolina Group since 2005. Prior to Carolina Group, Mr. Edelson served as Senior Vice President and Corporate Treasurer of JPMorgan Chase & Co. from May 2001 to January 2003 and its Executive Vice President and Corporate Treasurer from January 2003 to April 2005. He also spent over 15 years as an Investment Banker at Goldman Sachs & Co. He has been the Chairman of the Board at CNA Surety Corp. since December 2008. He has been a Director of CNA Surety Corp. since February 13, 2007. He has been an Independent Director of AutoNation, Inc. since July 30, 2008. He is an active Trustee of Central Synagogue in Manhattan and the Jewish Board of Family & Children's Services. Mr. Edelson holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business in 1985 and an AB in English from Dartmouth College where he graduated magna cum laude in 1981.
