Mr. Vincent Retort has been the Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President of Lumentum Holdings Inc since February 16, 2016. Mr. Retort served as Senior Vice President of Research & Development at Lumentum Holdings Inc from July 2015 to February 16, 2016. He served as the Vice President of Customer Programs and Product Engineering at NeoPhotonics Corp. since July 2004. Mr. Retort is a twenty-year veteran of product engineering, magnetic performance test engineering and wafer process development and integration. He joined NeoPhotonics from Seagate Technologies, a maker of high density data storage products for Enterprise, PC and Consumer Electronics applications, where he held the senior director, recording performance engineering position. He served as vice president of product engineering with thin-film magnetic recording head manufacturer, Read-Rite Corporation, as well as holding key positions at Conner Peripherals and Memorex. In addition, Mr. Retort was previous vice president of product engineering at Lightwave Microsystems, prior to being acquired by NeoPhotonics early in 2003. He holds a BA degree in Biology from the University of West Virginia and an MS degree in Biological Sciences from Stanford University.
