Michael Guerin — Senior Vice President of Leasing at Macerich Company

Mr. Michael Guerin serves as Senior Vice President of Leasing at The Macerich Company. Mr. Guerin co-directs Macerich's West region consisting of some of its highest-Performing Centers. His retail merchandising expertise includes the execution of deals in luxury, restaurant and mainstream retail. Mr. Guerin has a global outlook for Macerich Company, acting as the Conduit for new-to-Maceric International Retailers. Mr. Guerin has been with Macerich for 15 years, enjoying various roles within the organization, including property management, directing responsibilities at multiple high-profile assets in Southern California. He also played a leading role in the redevelopment of Santa Monica Place and provides extensive merchandise direction for the west coast leasing team. Prior to joining Macerich, Mr. Guerin spent several years in the financial industry holding positions as Financial Consultant for Smith Barney, and International Portfolio Accountant for The Boston Company. He is a Member of the International Council of Shopping Centers and holds the designations of Certified Retail Property Executive (CRX), Certified Leasing Specialist (CLS), and Certified Shopping Center Manager (CSM). He is also a licensed California Real Estate Agent. Mr. Guerin earned a Bachelor's Degree in Economics from The University of Rhode Island and an MBA from the Marshall School of Business at the University of Southern California.
