Stephen L. Spector — Senior Vice President and General Counsel at Macerich Company

Mr. Stephen L. Spector, also known as Steve, serves as Senior Vice President and General Counsel of The Macerich Company. Mr. Spector is responsible for the supervision of all legal services required for the company's ordinary course of business. His team provides legal support for leasing, litigation, marketing, property management, real estate, strategic business initiatives and other areas of the company's core business operations. Prior to joining Macerich in 1988, Mr. Spector spent five years with Los Angeles-based law firms specializing in real estate, corporate and securities law matters. He is founding board member of the Westside Neighborhood Council in West Los Angeles and an officer and board member of The Wellness Community Valley/Ventura, which provides psychological and social support to cancer patients and their families. Mr. Spector is graduated from Duke University's School of Law and holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Maryland.
