The most positive aspect of my work is that I control my own hours and I choose what to work on.

We understand that we are the chosen few selected from a sea of applicants. We therefore engage more in mutual reinforcement than in internal competition.
Why do you feel undervalued and what would make you feel better about your compensation?
It would be better if compensation was tied to quality of output more than just on the quantity. All confirmed research writers are selected on competence, but the level of competence varies. There should be a reflection of this in remuneration structures.
