Sara Glines — Publisher of Carolinas Region and President of Carolinas Region at McClatchy Company

Ms. Sara Glines has been the President and Publisher of Carolinas Region at The McClatchy Company since April 3, 2017 and served as its President and Publisher of News & Observer Publishing Company and The News & Observer in Raleigh, North Carolina from September 26, 2016 to April 3, 2017. Ms. Glines has been overseeing digital initiatives for nearly 20 years, beginning as Editor in chief of New Jersey Online in 1996. Ms. Glines served as Vice President of Field Operations at Digital First Media Inc. since October 2011. She served as President of the Atlantic Group for the Gannett Co., overseeing eight daily news organizations and additional non-dailies. She joined the MediaNews corporate team in 2010 and helped lead it through its operational transition to Digital First Media. In her tenure as regional publisher in Pennsylvania, she led the newspaper group, which Gannett Co. acquired in 2015, to a digital-first newsroom workflow. She served as Vice President of Field Operations at MediaNews Group, Inc. She joined MediaNews Group in 2003 as Vice President of interactive for the East Coast operations where she managed internet advertising, editorial and technical operations for 14 daily newspapers. She has served on the board of several organizations, including the Cultural Alliance of York County, the YWCA and Girls on the Run.
