Mr. Christopher M. Knackstedt, also known as Chris, served as Senior Vice President of Healthcare Management at CIGNA HealthCare - Centennial State, Inc. Mr. Knackstedt has been with Great-West Healthcare, Inc. since 2004 and served as the President of the West region. Mr. Knackstedt served as the Chief Financial Officer of Group Health Cooperative since May 2014 until June 3, 2016 and also served as its Executive Vice President until June 3, 2016. He served as Chief Financial Officer of MultiCare Health System. He served as Interim Chief Executive Officer at Mercy Health Plans, Inc. at Mercy Health since December 2009. With 14 years of health care experience, Mr. Knackstedt is responsible for network management, network development, provider relations and local medical management and medical outreach activities. He served as Senior Vice President of Healthcare Management of Great-West Life & Annuity Insurance Co., since June 2005. Prior to Great-West Healthcare, he served as Chief Financial Officer of Centura Health/St. Anthony Health System and a Chief Financial Officer of Sierra Providence Health Network, a system of three hospital and several outpatient centers based in El Paso, Texas. He also has experience as an Auditor with KPMG Peat Marwick, an audit, tax and advisory firm. He served as a Director of Mercy Health Plans, Inc. He also is a Certified Public Accountant. Mr. Knackstedt earned a Master's degree from the University of Texas at El Paso and a Bachelor's degree from New Mexico State University.
