Donn Sorensen — Regional President of East Communities at Mercy Health

Mr. Donn Sorensen has been the Regional President of East Communities of Mercy Hospital Ardmore, Inc. and Mercy Hospital St. Louis since March 2012. Mr. Sorensen serves as Regional President of East Communities at Mercy Health. Mr. Sorensen served as Vice President of Ambulatory Operations of Sisters Of Mercy Health System, Inc., since September 2009. Mr. Sorensen leads evaluation of all facets of Mercy's physician clinic infrastructure, guiding standardization efforts and consolidation where appropriate. Mr. Sorensen served as the Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Mercy Clinic at Mercy Hospital St. Louis since 2010. He served as an Executive Vice President of Mercy's hospitals and services in Springfield and surrounding communities. He also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for St. John's Mercy Clinic. He has more than 25 years of experience in health care including work with Premier Practice Management (a national practice operations organization), several specialty and multispecialty groups in Nashville, Tennessee, and Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and with the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. He served as Chairman of Group's CAO/COO council. He is a Member of the American Medical Group Association's Board of Directors. He is a fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives. He holds a Master's in Business Administration from Missouri State University.
