Marc E. Sacks — CEO & Member of the Board of Directors at Mesirow Financial

Mr. Marc E. Sacks is the Chief Executive Officer and a Member of the Board of Directors of Mesirow Financial Private Equity. He joined the firm in June 2004 as a Senior Managing Director of Private Equity. Mr. Sacks is the Head of the firm's Private Equity division. He focuses on private equity investments and is responsible for leading partnership investment activities and participates in all aspects of partnership investments. Mr. Sacks also serves as a Director at Mesirow Financial Holdings Inc. since September 2006. He has more than 20 years of experience and a multitude of top-tier private equity relationships in the United States and Europe. Throughout his career Mr. Sacks has participated in the approval of investment commitments to more than 300 buy outs, venture capital and mezzanine private equity partnerships in the United States and Europe and built many important relationships with premier private equity managers in the United States and Europe. Previously, he served as a Partner at Adams Street Partners, where, for more than 11 years, Mr. Sacks was active in all aspects of the firm's private equity partnership investment activities. Additionally, he served as a Program Manager of Private Investments for the IBM Pension Fund, working on United States and European private equity investments. Mr. Sacks served as a Member of the Investor Advisory Boards of 12 private equity investment firms and has been a frequent speaker at private equity industry conferences and panel discussions. He has also been frequently quoted in private equity trade publications. Mr. Sacks received an M.B.A. from Cornell University, Johnson Graduate School of Management and a B.A. from Queens College.
