Executive Bio
Jian Irish has over 25 years of leadership experience in the biopharma operations, with executive responsibilities in drug development and commercialization, organization building, and global business operations. Most recently, Jian served in executive leadership roles launching one of the first approved CAR-T cell therapy products and scaling out cell therapy operations at Kite Pharma as Senior Vice President, Global head of Manufacturing, and Senior Vice President of Supply Chain.
Prior to Kite, Jian was Vice President for biologics product development, supply, and partnerships at Sanofi. Jian also served in executive leadership roles at Amgen in the oncology development, manufacturing, and JAPAC regional operations, contributing to the launch of many innovative medicines in her tenure of 15 years at Amgen.
Jian holds a PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from Chiba University in Japan and a BS in Chemical Engineering from East China University of Science and Technology, as well as an MBA from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA.
