Executive Bio
A Chemist by training and a Patent attorney, Simren joined Metagenomi to drive development of Metagenomi’s IP portfolio. As VP of Legal, Simren oversees corporate governance, contract negotiations, IP portfolio management, and provides support during investor and partnership discussions. As Chief of Staff, Simren helps implement the overall strategy of the company as developed by the greater Executive Team.
Before joining Metagenomi, Simren was an associate at Wilson Sonsini Goodrich & Rosati (WSGR), where she served as a member of the patents and innovations practice focusing on patent counseling, drafting, patent prosecution, and due diligence for clients in the life sciences field. Simren holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Deakin University in Australia and a Masters Degree in law from the University of California Hastings.
