Mr. Bryan Lastrapes is a Managing Director - Houston at Moelis & Company. At the firm, Mr. Lastrapes co leads the oil and gas business and focuses on advising clients in the oil and gas sector. Mr. Lastrapes served as Senior Vice President of Global Operations at Quantum Reservoir Impact, LLC, where he was responsible for its strategy, operations and business development. Mr. Lastrapes served at Shell for over 30 years in a broad spectrum of subsurface engineering, business development, and management roles globally. He led the efforts to build Shell's unconventional onshore business in North America, and was responsible for the acquisition of Shell's core assets in the Eagle Ford, Marcellus, and Montney shales, and in the Pinedale Wyoming tight gas sands. In addition, he led the post acquisition integration and management of these assets, playing a critical execution role in management and leadership of the new onshore business. Mr. Lastrapes has held technical and managerial leadership roles globally, including on projects in Brazil, West Africa, Middle East, Central Asia, and China. Mr. Lastrapes has over 33 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and has worked on acquisitions, divestments, capital markets transactions, restructurings, and strategic advisory mandates. He has experience in building and managing major project teams and capital budgets, and experience in reserves management, reservoir characterization, field operations, and technology application. Mr. Lastrapes holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Louisiana State University and an M.B.A. with Honors from the University of Houston.
